“Million Man” in Sana'a in Support of Al-Aqsa and Gaza | News

Tens of thousands demonstrated on Friday in the capital Sanaa and other Yemeni cities in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Gaza and in support of the Houthi group, which has pledged to respond to the Israeli raids that recently targeted the city of Hodeidah.

Large crowds gathered in Al-Sabeen Square in Sana'a as part of a large demonstration called “Million-Man March in Support of Al-Aqsa and Gaza. Support continues and the response is coming.”

Al Masirah TV said that the demonstrators gathered in Al-Sabeen Square in response to the call of the Houthi leader, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, despite the rain that hit Sanaa.

The channel added that the demonstrators chanted slogans condemning the recent Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and the continued massacres committed by the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators also denounced what they considered the failure of some Arab countries to support the Palestinians, chanting slogans to the effect that a Yemeni response to the recent Israeli raids was inevitable.

Protesters in Sanaa raised pictures of the late Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and Fouad Shukr, a prominent leader in the Lebanese Hezbollah, who were assassinated two weeks ago in Tehran and the southern suburb of Beirut, respectively.

Al Masirah TV said that demonstrations took place in other Yemeni governorates, including Saada, Hajjah, Raymah, Hodeidah, Ibb, Dhamar, Al Dhale’e, and Al Bayda.

Thousands also demonstrated after Friday prayers in the city of Taiz in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The participants in the demonstration denounced the crimes of the Israeli occupation forces, and called on the international community to intervene to stop the war and bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
