How to connect your Android device to your TV

To connect your Android device wirelessly to your TV, you need a Smart TV:

▶︎ Go to the settings of your Smart TV and activate “Miracast”.

▶︎ Now activate the share function on your Android device. This function has a different name depending on the manufacturer. While HTC calls it “HTC Connect”, Honor uses the name “MirrorShare”. On Samsung devices you can use “SmartView”.

▶︎ Meanwhile, you will receive a request that you must confirm in order to establish the connection.

▶︎ Your Android device’s screen will now be mirrored to your TV.

Mirror Apple device to TV with AirPlay

Here’s how AirPlay screen mirroring works:

▶︎ On your iPhone or iPad, swipe down from the top right corner. On iOS devices with a Home button (such as all iPhones before the iPhone X), swipe up from the bottom instead to open the Control Center.

▶︎ Click on the AirPlay icon here.

▶︎ In the menu that opens, select your Apple TV. If you wish, you can also select another device on which you want to play content.

The screen of your iPhone or iPad will now be broadcast and you will see it on the TV connected to the Apple TV.

Connect Android device to TV without Smart TV

If you don't have a Smart TV, you can connect your Android device to the TV using Chromecast:

▶︎ To do this, get a Google Chromecast Ultra or another Chromecast model.

▶︎ Connect it to your TV with an HDMI cable.

▶︎ With the Google Home app you can then to connect the Chromecast to the network via WiFi.

▶︎ Once the connection is established, you can access the files on your Android device and display them on the TV.

▶︎ A direct connection between smartphone and TV is also possible via HDMI cable (USB-C to HDMI).

Alternatively, simply connect your notebook to the TV via HDMI cable and enjoy the BILD Brauhaus Battle in full size!
