US airports put to the test: Here passengers walk the longest distances | Life & Knowledge

Once you have made it through security, you “just” have to make your way to the gate.

At some airports, however, you should take your running shoes out of your luggage. The shoe company KURU Footwear tested American airports and found out where you have to walk the longest distances.

The first place

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport ranks first in the list. The airport covers a total of 17,000 hectares and is located in the middle of one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. The study showed that passengers have to walk up to 3.4 kilometers before they can board their flight.

One of the largest airports

The next Airport is Washington Dulles International Airport. It is one of the largest airports in the USA. Passengers who want to get from A to B have to travel almost three kilometers.

Third place

The George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston is packed with Shopping opportunities and RestaurantsYou also need this to strengthen yourself for the walk of up to 2.6 kilometers.

In fourth place

In fourth place is Denver International Airport, where in some cases you have to walk up to 2.3 km to reach the most remote departure areas.

The last place

In fifth place is the New Yorkers JFK Airport. Anyone wanting to depart from one of the 128 gates has to walk up to 2.2 km.
