This time, Christian Funke from Source for Alpha took a close look at one of our reader's portfolios. Funke is a fund manager and founder of the independent asset manager Source for Alpha. Among other things, he manages the “S4A EU Pure Equity” fund, which focuses on shares from the euro zone, and the “S4A US Long” fund, which invests in US shares.
Both funds can demonstrate an outperformance compared to well-known indices. The S4A EU Pure Equity, for example, beats the Eurostoxx 50 over ten years, with a gain of 76 percent compared to an increase of 44 percent. The S4A US Long beats the S&P 500, with a gain of 99 percent compared to 79 percent over five years.
