Ten were chosen from 1,500 applicants. They have a chance of winning the crown of “Miss AI” and a prize of 13,000 dollars. That is what the winner will receive the world’s first AI beauty pageant.
As with other beauty pageants, other qualities are important in addition to looks – such as social commitment. Some of the fake models are also said to be actually supporting good causes.

The competition is hosted by AI platform Fanvue. Co-founder Will Monanage says he hopes these events “will become the Oscars of the AI creator economy.”
The technical data of the artificial models also play a role in the jury’s evaluation. Extra points are awarded for the details around the eyes and hands – areas that some AI image generators struggle with.
And it’s also about sales! Because big companies like Nike, Victoria’s Secret and Guess have long been relying on advertising through artificial models. The companies spend huge amounts of money to have AI models present their clothes online.
