Finally, a rival has emerged that is worthy of the LG G3, the best Android smartphone of the moment. Today, Samsung's fourth generation of phablets was presented during IFA 2014 in Berlin, and the Note 4 made many people's jaws drop. The device has an incredible QuadHD resolution screen, just like the LG G3. With the device presented and its official specifications revealed, it's time to compare it to the LG G3. Will LG's device be dethroned?

Design
The LG G3 won over the public and critics with a plastic body that looked like brushed aluminum. Samsung, for its part, seems to have finally entered the metal age, despite remaining faithful to its removable plastic back. The Note 4 has an aluminum frame, which makes it heavier. While the LG G3 weighs 149 grams, the Note 4 weighs 176 grams.
Furthermore, the Note 4 also has larger dimensions, despite being thinner than the LG G3 (we must consider the fact that, while Samsung's phablet has straight lines, the LG G3 offers a convex shape that makes it thicker). We can justify the larger size by the Note 4's also larger screen, but we must admit here that LG knew how to make better use of the space.
Screen
This is the category where the Note 4 takes the lead and makes life much more difficult for LG (and all its competitors). The Samsung phablet's screen is 5.7 inches and has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, the same as the LG G3 (which has a smaller screen and therefore a higher pixel density per inch). This detail is only recognizable on paper. What really stands out is the difference in brightness between the two screens, and here Samsung dazzles us with its Super-AMOLED display.
Software
On the one hand, LG is betting on buttons on the back, while the Note 4 is equipped, like all devices in its family, with the smart stylus S Pen. Conclusion
I should say upfront that in order to deal in depth with aspects such as software functions, performance or battery, we need to use both devices for some time (wait for our detailed comparison). Since we can't form an opinion on fundamental issues, this duel will be a draw for now. And which one will you choose based on the specifications on paper alone?
