Occupation burns vehicles and a market in Nablus and reinforces its forces in the northern West Bank | News

The Israeli occupation army stormed several Palestinian towns in the occupied West Bank at dawn on Monday and last night, and burned vehicles and a market in various areas of the West Bank, while violent clashes broke out between Palestinian resistance fighters and occupation forces in the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The Israeli army radio said that the army had reinforced its forces with several units in the northern West Bank and Jordan Valley areas.

She added that the army received an intelligence warning about Palestinian groups preparing to launch attacks on Israeli areas.

Raids and fires

Palestinian media reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus at dawn today for the second time in a few hours, and launched a campaign of raids and arrests among citizens.

She confirmed that resistance elements detonated an explosive device in an Israeli military vehicle in the vicinity of Joseph's Tomb, east of Nablus.

While a fire broke out in the Hisba market in the center of Nablus, and another fire broke out in a vehicle and parts of a house in the vicinity of Balata camp, east of the city.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fires broke out after the occupation forces fired sound and gas bombs heavily during their storming of the city, in order to secure the raid of settler groups on Joseph's Tomb and the performance of Talmudic prayers inside it.

The Israeli occupation forces also burned a Palestinian vehicle in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah in the West Bank.

Local Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town and deployed their forces in many of its streets. They also raided homes and shops and arrested a number of young men amid heavy firing of sound bombs and tear gas.

Clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and the invading forces, which led to a vehicle being burned as a result of a gas bomb being fired at it.

Clashes and suffocation

In turn, the official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) said that the occupation forces stormed the town of Ya'bad, south of Jenin, last night, Sunday, and carried out search and raid operations. They also stormed the towns of Hizma, north of Jerusalem, and Silwad, east of Ramallah, amidst gunfire and tear gas bombs, without any arrests or injuries being reported.

In the town of Sa'ir, north of Hebron in the southern West Bank, eyewitnesses said that an Israeli military force stormed the town, and that clashes erupted after citizens of the town confronted the invading force and threw stones at it.

He explained that the occupation army force responded by firing a barrage of tear gas and sound bombs between the homes, which caused suffocation and the burning of a vehicle.

Settler attacks

WAFA said that Israeli settlers gathered at the Kafel Haris roundabout, north of Salfit, and threw stones at vehicles, without any injuries or damage being reported.

Dozens of settlers also attacked vehicles with stones west of the village of Deir Sharaf in Nablus, causing damage to a number of them, according to the agency.

In conjunction with the devastating war on Gaza that has been ongoing since October 7, settlers have escalated their attacks on Palestinians, while the Israeli occupation army has expanded its incursions into the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of 604 Palestinians and the injury of about 5,400 others, according to official Palestinian data.
