Netflix: This unexpected and muscular cameo in Zack Snyder's latest science fiction film – Cinema News

MMA champion Francis Ngannou appears in a new Netflix production, available since August 2!

When he's not spreading terror in MMA rings, Francis Ngannou is (already) preparing his reconversion to cinema! The Cameroonian fighter is in fact starring this month in his brand new film, to be discovered exclusively on Netflix.

The acting debut of the one nicknamed The Predator took place in 2021 in Fast & Furious 9. On this occasion, Francis Ngannou played one of Jakob's henchmen, the brother of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) played by former wrestler John Cena.

The following year, the MMA champion appeared as himself in the film Jackass Forever, for a sequence in which he smashes Ehren McGhehey's family jewels. It was a memorable scene that relied more on his boxing skills than his acting skills per se.

We don't cut Francis Ngannou during the editing of his film!

His third film Rebel Moon – part 1 features him in the role of a gladiator that the heroes of the film mistake for General Titus (Djimon Hounsou). An appearance of just a few seconds, but which could have never seen the light of day. Because Francis Ngannou was cut from the editing of the first version of the film directed by Zack Snyder!

Luckily for him, and for his many fans around the world, the feature film has been re-released in an extended version, a first for a Netflix production! This director's cut available since August 2, offers more than an hour of unpublished images, including the famous sequence featuring Francis Ngannou.

Both Rebel Moon films are available in standard and director's cut versions exclusively on Netflix.
