Military Expert: Resistance Invests Little, Wins Big | News

Military expert Brigadier General Elias Hanna said that ambushing an Israeli force in the same place where another force had previously been ambushed means that Israel is fighting in the same way and repeating the same mistakes and that it is not able to control, while the resistance is more cohesive and continuous.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), published pictures of the attack on an Israeli infantry force in the area whose residents were displaced by the occupation months ago. It said that it was carried out with a “Sejil” explosive device made from remnants of the occupation's weapons.

The operation resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of members of the force, and armored vehicles transported them from the site of the operation, as shown in the video.

The video also included images showing an Israeli force being ambushed in a similar area last February.

Hanna added – in an interview with Al Jazeera – that the fact that an ordinary person in civilian clothes planted a recycled bomb and then achieved these results confirms that the resistance invests a lot and gains a lot.

repeating the same mistakes

Hanna said that Israel does nothing but repeat the same mistakes, that it enters areas and carries out destructive operations there, then returns to them again in the same way to face the same losses, pointing out that the fact that the area in which the ambush took place is isolated means that it is in the interest of the occupation forces and not the opposite.

He added that “the occupation army enters, cleans, withdraws, and then returns again – as is the case now in Beit Hanoun, where it was 10 months ago and then decided to return to it – and therefore it is unable to control it,” noting that the recent ambush “reflects a great deal of fabrication, planning, intelligence, direction, and execution on the part of the resistance.”

He pointed out that the occupation forces entered the area east of Khan Yunis where the operation took place months ago, in addition to the fact that the area represents part of a buffer zone that may reach 100 kilometers, and yet it falls into the same traps that confirm the saying that the land serves its children, because the resistance fighters mark some houses during planning operations so that the resistance fighter can know the course of his operation.

Hanna concluded that these operations reflect the fact that the resistance has largely rebuilt its strength and that it is not disintegrated and does not act as lone wolves as Israel claims, but rather moves according to a tight command and control system and in a ghostly manner that makes it difficult to know from where it will pounce on you.
