Long tablecloths for festivities, fine napkins, washed-out bed linen – such linen treasures can sometimes be found at the back of old cupboards. Often the initials of ancestors are embroidered into the pieces, which also expressed their pride in the family property. The material is often surprisingly well preserved thanks to good care. Oil stains or so-called bed stains can be treated with soda.
