Injuries in explosion of drone launched from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel | News

Israel's Channel 12 said that initial reports indicate that a drone launched from Lebanon exploded in an Israeli town in the Western Galilee, while Israelis were injured in a fire that broke out after a drone exploded in the town of Ya'ara.

For its part, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper confirmed that there was a direct hit in northern Israel as a result of the drone and missile attack from southern Lebanon.

The newspaper added that 3 drones and 10 rockets were detected launched from Lebanon.

Walla website said that Israelis were injured in a fire that broke out after a drone exploded, launched from Lebanon, towards the town of Ya'ara in northern Israel.

The Israeli army said it succeeded in intercepting some of the air targets, and others fell in the Ya'ara area.

The official Hebrew radio also reported that there were injuries as a result of the explosion of a booby-trapped drone launched from Lebanon and falling in the Western Galilee.

In the same context, Al Jazeera's correspondent said that sirens sounded in Zar'it and Shetula in the Upper Galilee, northern Israel.

The correspondent added that the Israeli air defense fired interceptor missiles after sirens sounded in towns in the Western Galilee.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also said that air raid sirens sounded in the areas of the cities of Acre and Nahariya in northern Israel.

Yesterday, the Israeli army announced that its aircraft attacked Hezbollah military buildings in Aita al-Shaab, Beit Lif and Houla in southern Lebanon.

Since October 8, 2023, Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, most notably Hezbollah, have been exchanging daily shelling with the Israeli army across the Blue Line, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries, most of them on the Lebanese side.

The factions are linking the cessation of the bombing to Israel ending its war, with American support, on Gaza Strip Since October 7, which left more than 130,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing.
