“I would love to do that”: This Fall Guy actor wants to play Batman again, and it’s not Ryan Gosling – Movie News

MCU and “The Fall Guy” star wants to play Batman in James Gunn’s DC universe: his application is launched!
While Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt headline The Fall Guy, there are a few contenders for the coveted title of “show stealer” in David Leitch’s smash hit in theaters last May. You’ve got Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Hannah Waddingham, for example, but more than anyone, it’s Winston Duke who walks away with one of his funniest and most memorable performances in recent memory as Dan Tucker, a veteran stunt coordinator with a habit of quoting lines from famous movies.
During the press tour for the film's release, the star of the Black Panther and Us saga revealed, in an interview with /Film, the dream role for which he would gladly put himself in the running in the years to come – or even right now!
It turns out that Winston Duke would love nothing more than to make the jump from Marvel to DC and don the famous cape and mask of… Batman!
His campaign can begin
Every Batman fan knows the requirements for anyone hoping to become Gotham City's caped crusader: a magnetic screen presence, a certain physique and a chiseled jaw. Like Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson, Winston Duke fits this description.

Moreover, as /Film reminds us, Winston Duke has already played Bruce Wayne in the podcast “Batman Unburied.” So why not in a live-action movie? Director Andy Muschietti’s reboot of The Brave and the Bold is in the works, so there’s no better time than now!

“Listen, man, can you get this (campaign) started? (Laughs)”, joked Winston Duke. “I would say I challenge you to get on all of these social media platforms and support me. Get your community together. I would love to. I would love to do that as Batman. I would love to have the opportunity to explore new characters, to change the narratives around some of these entrenched ideas of how these characters are supposed to look and sound and act. I'm all for it.”
A word to the wise – James Gunn and DC –, hello!
While waiting to be able to (re)discover him in The Fall Guy soon available on VOD in France, Winston Duke can be found in the two Black Panther films streaming on Disney+ or in Us (2019) available on VOD.
