Lebanese Hezbollah attacked a military headquarters in the Upper Galilee early Monday with drones, confirming the killing and wounding of Israeli soldiers. This attack comes amid Israeli anticipation of a broader response from the party to the assassination of prominent leader Fouad Shukr a few days ago in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Hezbollah said in a statement that it targeted the headquarters of the 91st Division in the Israeli Elit barracks with drones, killing and wounding a number of people.
The Israeli army admitted that an officer and a soldier were injured as a result of the recent shelling from Lebanese territory.
For its part, the Israeli Army Radio said that a drone exploded near a shelter in the Ayelet Hashahar area in the Upper Galilee, and the army is combing the area.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that sirens were activated in more than 10 locations in the Upper Galilee to warn of dual operations that included launching drones and missiles towards settlements near the border with Lebanon.

Israeli raids
Yesterday evening, the Israeli army said it had attacked Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon and eliminated a group of Hezbollah fighters in the area.
The occupation army added in a statement that air force fighters bombed a building in the Houla area shortly after detecting the entry of a Hezbollah fighter into it, adding that it had also previously targeted a Hezbollah cadre in Beit Lif, southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah mourned two of its fighters following an Israeli raid on the town of Houla in southern Lebanon.
There is a state of anticipation in Israel regarding an expected response from Hezbollah to the assassination of leader Fouad Shukr about a week ago.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah stressed that the response to the assassination of the military commander is inevitable, and will be serious, real and well-thought-out.
Since last October, Hezbollah and the Israeli army have been engaged in cross-border clashes that have killed more than 40 Israelis and about 400 Lebanese.
