Prince Harry of England, real name Prince Henry of Wales, embodies the modernity of the British monarchy. Son of the prince charles and some princess dianahe was born on September 15, 1984 in London. He is sixth in line to the royal throne. He is preceded by his father, his brother Prince William, his nephew George and his niece Charlotte and his nephew Louis.
At the age of 12, the young prince's life was turned upside down by the death of his mother in Paris. Despite this trauma, he joined and graduated from Eton College in 2003. He then joined the prestigious Sandhurst Military Academy. Against his family's wishes, he took part in several missions in Afghanistan in 2007-2008 and in 2013. He obtained his helicopter pilot's license, presented by his father during a ceremony held at the Army Air Corps base. On March 16, 2015, Prince Harry of England announced that he was leaving the army and made his departure official on June 19 of the same year. He will have served the British army for ten years.
The prince dated lawyer Chelsy Davy from 2004 until their final breakup in 2011. He then began a relationship with Cressida Bonas in 2012. The couple separated in April 2014. In 2016, he met American actress Meghan Markle. The couple made their relationship official on 8 November of the same year. Three weeks later, they announced their engagement. They married on 19 May 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor. On 6 May 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave birth to a son, Archie.
In January 2020, Harry and Meghan made headlines by announcing their desire to distance themselves from the royal family and become financially independent: this was “Megxit”, the terms of which were fiercely negotiated with the Queen and the rest of the royal family.
