Greek Salad canceled on France 2: why the sequel to L'Auberge espagnole will ultimately not be broadcast tonight? – News Series on TV
France 2 had planned to broadcast “Salade Grecque” on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at 9:10 p.m. but the channel decided to review its program schedule due to the recent death of Patrice Laffont.
As previously announced, France 2 was to broadcast the first episodes of the series Salade Grecque this Wednesday, August 14, from 9:10 p.m. Unfortunately, due to the death of Patrice Laffont, the channel is changing its programs as it explains in a press release:
“France Télévisions learned with great emotion and great sadness of the death of Patrice Laffont, a great television man, an emblematic figure of the public audiovisual landscape. He hosted many programs on France Télévisions, including the emblematic Des chiffres et des lettres, Fort Boyard and Pyramide.
His mark continues to live on today on our sets and in French homes. The France Télévisions channels pay tribute to Patrice Laffont, a pioneer of entertainment shows on television, who had so successfully enchanted generations of viewers.”
“Greek Salad” canceled by France 2
Thus, France 2 is broadcasting this evening, Wednesday August 14th from 9:10 pm, a special edition of Fort Boyard, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the show. Indeed, Patrice Laffont had participated a few weeks ago in the filming of this entertainment. As for Salade Grecque, the channel has not indicated for the moment when the series will be offered to viewers again.
As a reminder, this fiction is the sequel to the film trilogy L'Auberge espagnole, Les Poupées russes and Casse-tête chinois by Cédric Klapisch. Here we discover Tom and Mia (AlloCiné had met their actors Aliocha Schneider and Megan Northam), the children of Xavier (Romain Duris) and Wendy (Kelly Reilly), living their own experiences as young adults in Athens.
For those who are most disappointed, the eight episodes of Salade Grecque are still available on France.tv for free, but also on the Amazon Prime Video platform.
