Dolce & Gabbana: Luxury brand focuses on dog perfume | Life & Knowledge
The traditional Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has discovered a new target group: dogs.
For just 99 euros Owners can Pets now spray with “Fefé”. The fragrance was developed by a Parisian master perfumer who has already created fragrances for Balmain and Paco Rabanne.
It is the first time that a luxury designer has expanded its range to include dog perfume. Dolce & Gabbana's fragrance is, according to the company, “an olfactory masterpiece”.
Veterinarian Fabian Rivers tells “The Times“: “The fact that they come onto the market at such a high price is an interesting way to get people to spend their money on things that have little value.” The expert would also not be surprised if the animals “found the smells disturbing or unpleasant.”
► He also fears that owners may use the spray to mask unpleasant odors instead of seeking veterinary advice on possible Skin infections to obtain.

Pet care in the luxury segment
D&G sells Fefé in 100-milliliter bottles, along with a free dog collar decorated with a gold-plated paw. The fragrance is said to be “inspired by the unwavering love for Domenico Dolce's faithful companion, Fefé.”
The idea was born four years ago when Stefano Gabbana adopted a miniature poodle puppy and found that the animal did not get along with its Male cat understood. Gabbana passed it on to his business partner Dolce. It is said that he was “immediately enchanted”.
► Dolce named the animal after a domestic animal from an Italian comedy. “It's the diminutive of Raffaele, which means gift of God,” said Dolce.
According to D&G, Fefé has been approved and certified by veterinarians. It is said to be anti-allergic and alcohol-free. Ingredients include essential oils such as ylang-ylang and sandalwood.
