Cargobike Tarran T1 Pro: Technology that inspires?
Many cargo bike riders know the problem: heavily loaded cargo bikes feel unstable at low speeds and can easily tip over. Start-up Tarran Bikes is now tackling this problem. At Eurobike – the major bicycle trade fair that took place in Frankfurt from July 3 to 7 – the start-up based in China presented its first project: the Tarran T1 ProBikeX has all the facts about the new product and has already taken a look at the bike.
Tarran T1 Pro: innovative support wheels for more safety
Tarran
The support wheels extend automatically at low speeds.
The Tarran T1 Pro is a 2.26 meter long long-john cargo bike for two to three children (max. load 220 kg). The special thing about the bike is clearly the innovative Support wheelsThey extend automatically when braking and retract again once a stable ride is achieved. Each support wheel is equipped with its own motor and suspension, which means they can adapt smoothly to uneven terrain.
For additional flexibility, the wheels can also be lower manuallywhich is intended to make pushing and parking easier – at red lights or when loading, they are intended to ensure safe standing. The system developed by Tarrant is called Dynamic Dualdrive.
First impression of BikeX: Someone has carefully observed the needs of the target groups. As a rider, you have a lot of weight to balance, especially with children in the loading box. It makes absolute sense to provide help in these critical situations. An initial test drive is still needed to show how the support wheels feel in practice, i.e. when riding.
High-tech family car with many intelligent features

Tarran
The cockpit on the handlebars can do a lot: navigation on board, playing music, taking selfies and answering calls.
In addition to the automatic support wheel, the T1 offers other smart features: A 5.2-inch touchscreen and the Tarran app provide access to range, driving data and other parameters. Handlebar buttons control the lighting, support wheels and selfie camera. Handlebar vibration and rear view camera warn of dangers. Smartphone mirroring Navigation, music and calls can be controlled.
Locking and unlocking works via app or NFC key, the Tarran app also offers additional Theft protection: As soon as the power supply is interrupted, the guard mode is automatically activated. It detects vibrations, triggers an alarm and starts a video recording at the same time. The integrated GPS module is designed to enable precise location of the bike in an emergency, so that owners can track the location of their T1 Pro at any time.
Lots of space for family and luggage
The T1 Pro allows a payload of 220 kg and offers a wide range of transport options for two children up to 1.26 meters or three Euro boxes. A child seat with 5-point belt. Additional flexibility is provided by the rear MIK luggage rack, which allows the installation of an additional seat for a larger child or additional cargo.
The heart of the energy supply is formed by two long-range batteries with 708 Wh each. Not only do they enable a range of up to 200 km, but they are also installed in the bottom of the transport box to prevent theft and are therefore protected from the elements.
A specially developed mid-engine is installed

Tarran
Tarran relies on its own mid-engine that mobilizes 100 Newton meters. Thanks to two 708 Wh batteries that are integrated into the underbody of the transport box, a range of up to 200 kilometers should be possible.
Full suspension with 50 mm and 60 mm travel and 180 mm Hydraulic brakes The T1 Pro offers a high level of driving comfort. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX and the Enviolo Heavy Duty hub gear are low-maintenance. The double cable steering mechanism allows a steering angle of 90° for particularly high maneuverability – ideal, according to the manufacturer, for navigating through narrow streets and changing lanes smoothly.
The self-developed motor is the heart of the intelligent system. It processes Sensor data and emits signals for smooth driving assistance and supports intelligent functions such as the automatic support wheel. With a torque of 100 Nm, it offers comparatively powerful support.
Intelligent security systems

Tarran
Overview like in a car: The steering head camera enables guard mode when parking with AI-supported anti-theft function.
The Rear camera and the integrated radar continuously monitor the traffic behind. When vehicles approach, the system warns the driver through subtle handlebar vibrations and simultaneously displays live video streams on the screen – a digital rearview mirror for maximum attention.
The 180-degree front camera is designed to expand the field of vision and compensate for potential visual restrictions so that the driver always has an overview. The intelligent lighting system, consisting of high and low beam, indicators and brake lights, can be operated intuitively directly on the handlebars.
