Bad Homburg (Hesse) – The police officers actually only wanted to check a car. In the end, they rescued three completely dehydrated children from their mother's apartment, who had attacked the officers shortly before and was apparently under the influence of drugs.
In Bad Homburg (Hesse) the police noticed a car with Polish license plates on Tuesday afternoon at around 2.45 p.m. The driver (44) was apparently drunk and was sitting in his car without shoes. During the check, the officers quickly realized that they needed help. The Ukrainian apparently did not speak German – his cousin (42) was supposed to translate.

“However, she was also apparently under the influence intoxicating substances and suddenly attacked the officers with kicks and punches,” said a police spokesman. Reinforcements were called for – the man in the car sensed his chance.
He started the engine and tried to escape. He was arrested after putting up strong resistance, and the officers reportedly used a so-called taser. After the electric shock, the 44-year-old was first treated in an ambulance and then taken to the police station with his cousin.
During the operation, the officers noticed that a child was calling loudly for his mother at the window of an apartment on the third floor. When checking the apartment, the police officers the three underage children of the 42-year-old cousin, who were obviously dehydrated and in a neglected state and were alone in the apartment.
The Children were taken to a children's clinic and handed over to the care of the youth welfare office. The mother spent the night in the sobering-up cell with her relative. She now faces further proceedings regarding her children.
