Legendary French film actor Alain Delon died at the age of 88 at his residence in Douchy, south of Paris.

“Alain Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony and their dog Loubo are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their father. He passed away peacefully at his home in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and family,” the statement reads, adding that the family requested privacy.

Delon's health had deteriorated over the years, starting with a stroke in 2019. According to French media, Delon had another serious illness that was not disclosed.

In recent months, Alain Delon's three children have been in the news for an inheritance dispute. His sons Anthony and Alain-Fabien claimed that their sister Anouchka manipulated their father and hid his health condition.
