Andrea Graf from the small town of Schwalmstadt (Hesse) has smoked her entire adult life. She has been a cigarette addict since she was 16. Until now! The financial expert has been smoke-free for two months. Thanks to the hypnosis of Jan Becker She finally managed to quit during BILD's big smoke-free campaign at the beginning of June. “I was very skeptical about hypnosis. I thought it was all nonsense,” admits the 48-year-old.

She is all the more pleased to have been proven wrong. In an interview with BILD, she reports how her well-being has improved in the past two months.

Andrea can breathe better again

The woman from Hesse smoked a pack a day. “Often just out of habit or boredom,” she says today. Andrea realized she wanted to quit after a severe bout of bronchitis that forced her and her husband to cancel a vacation.

The decades-long Smoke was already taking a toll on her body and her breathing. “I live on a hill in the old town. The walk up the hill was often too much for me. I had to take breaks. Now, after only nine weeks without cigarettes, I can manage the walk without any problems and without getting out of breath.”

“Without cigarettes my teeth are getting whiter again”

Andrea notices another positive side effect. Her mouth feels better and looks better. “The ashtray taste in the mouth and the Cigarette smoke on the teeth was one of the things that annoyed me the most. Now it's finally gone. Since I'm smoke-free, my teeth are whiter and feel smoother,” says the 48-year-old contentedly.

Sometimes, when a lot of people around her are smoking, she still feels the urge to light up. In these moments, she uses the breathing exercises from the hypnosis. “I breathe and smile. That has helped so far,” says Andrea.
