A cult series soon to return to our small screens? This is the good news of the day since the creator of this ultra-famous fiction has given the green light!
It's one of the most cult comedies of the 2000s and it might be back soon! Starring Zach Braff and Donald Faison, Scrubs had a heyday on the American channel NBC before experiencing the same success by switching to ABC.
Scrubs aired from 2001 to 2011 on NBC and then on ABC.
Remember, for 10 years, this completely crazy dramedy followed the adventures of three medical interns at the Sacré-Coeur hospital. With its unique and wacky tone, it contrasted drastically with other medical series of the time.
Where ER or Grey's Anatomy adopted a certainly romantic, but serious position of the kind so appreciated by viewers, Scrubs shook up all the codes and offered us a panoply of hilarious characters, full of fantasy and as touching as possible.
A true icon of American pop culture, the series bowed out in 2011. Since then, fans have always kept hope that it could return, one day, to our small screens. Well, know that Bill Lawrence, the creator of the television show, is also up for it. It was during an interview with LADbible that he confided:
“We're clearly going to do it”
“You know, I'm being honest about it. We're definitely going to do it just because we love spending time together. There's no rush because everyone is accomplished and I also feel like the show has been on the air for 72 years.”
“I'm totally open to that idea. I just don't want to make a movie out of it, but I'm up for writing two more seasons of this show.” he specifies “It would be fun not only to see where these characters we loved so much are now, but also to see what a young doctor would look like today.”
“I can't stop talking about it” revealed the creator before concluding: “I think we'll be able to figure out exactly what we want to do in about six months. I'm a busy man at the moment, but in an absolutely fantastic way.” Statements that should please the most devoted fans of Scrubs !
