The UAE accused the Sudanese army of bombing the headquarters of its ambassador in Khartoum, and described what happened as an aggression against its diplomatic mission in the Sudanese capital.
In a statement published by the Emirates News Agency early on Monday, the UAE Foreign Ministry strongly condemned what it called “the brutal attack that targeted the headquarters of the head of the UAE mission in Khartoum by a Sudanese army plane.”
The UAE Foreign Ministry said that the attack caused serious damage to the building, calling on the army to “bear full responsibility for this cowardly act.”
She added that she would submit a note of protest to the League of Arab States, the African Union and the United Nations “against this attack by the Sudanese Armed Forces, which represents a flagrant violation of the basic principle of the inviolability of diplomatic buildings.”
The UAE Foreign Ministry expressed its strong condemnation of what it called criminal acts, and affirmed its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to destabilize security and stability and are inconsistent with international law.
An official Sudanese statement has not yet been issued to respond to the UAE accusations.
