Is it worth a look?
Before talking about anything else, we would like to salute the splendid setting of the film. The spy school was filmed in a 19th century castle and it is a real pleasure for the eyes.
From the first minutes, we are caught up in the story of the film. Young people from all walks of life are recruited to be trained to serve their country. Each has their own background, their own talent, but also their own weaknesses and that is the beauty of this unitary. Pushed to their limits through training and trials, we discover them in turn frightened, strong and vulnerable.
Special mention for Eugene Marcuse who delivers a magnificent performance. Sometimes cold and distant, sometimes explosive and fragile, he gives the character of François a complex dimension. We will also remember the performance of Lorenzo Lefebvre who, in the role of Pierre, offers a skillful and controlled performance.
As for Pascal Elbe And Thierry Godardthey are particularly convincing in their respective roles. Furthermore, the staging is neat, dynamic and does not give us a second of respite.
We just regret not having the impression of watching a movie, but rather the pilot of a series. It is impossible not to feel frustrated at the end of spy school so many mysteries remain for us to unravel.
All the foundations have been laid, but what will happen now? We hope to find out. This proves that the bet was successful! In short, if you like spy films, you should particularly appreciate this feature film with a 5-star cast. Beyond the disappointment of not having answers to all our questions, we remember a film that truly keeps all its promises.
