In “Splash – The Pool Quiz,” celebrity teams have to answer questions. Anyone who gets it wrong is thrown into a pool by an XXL ball. Presenter Sophia Thomalla (34) was allowed to stay dry on Wednesday evening, but she added fuel to the rumor mill's fire.
Evelyn Burdecki (35), for example, ended up in the wet pool during the evening and Sophia even threw a small swimming crocodile after her.
The ball came quickly and sent Evelyn Burdecki into the cool water
“Let's Dance“-Star and footballer Rúrik Gíslason (36) shone with a new talent when he belted out “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen – with an astonishingly confident singing voice. Thomalla was fascinated: “Gentlemen, what can’t this man do?”
He can certainly swim. Because only a short time later he landed together with Cathy Hummels (36) in the pool. “Rúrik and Cathy. Bang, they’re gone,” laughs the “Splash” presenter.
Cathy Hummels fears for her dry dress
So far, so wet and splashy. But then things got exciting around the Thomalla.
Drag queen Pam Pengco is about to answer the final question: “Who has won the most Olympic gold medals for Germany?” She thinks she knows the answer: “I love Olympicsactually.”
Sophia Thomalla is bursting with pride: “My husband won one too. In tennis. In Tokyo.”
Tokyo 2021. Alexander Zverev beat his opponent Karen Khachanov in tennis and took the gold medal
One or two viewers pricked up their ears: “Husband?” Sophia Thomalla and tennis star Alexander Zverev (27) Perhaps the wedding bells?
After all, she had a secret wedding with her ex, singer Andy LaPlegua (48) in the USA in 2016.
BILD knows: The recording of “Splash” took place in mid-May. A wedding should therefore have taken place months ago.
But there is no need to worry. As BILD learned from Thomalla's manager, the term “husband” is only meant affectionately. The two are not (yet) married.
By the way: Pam actually mastered the Olympic question with flying colors. With the correct answer “Birgit Fischer” she not only got to stay on land, but also won 25,000 euros for her team.
