Russian regulatory authorities, The acquisition of non-controlling shares in AB InBev Efes BV by Anadolu Efes did not approve.

In the statement made by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was stated that Anadolu Efes and AB Inbev are reviewing the authorities' decision and that developments regarding the issue will be announced in accordance with the procedure.

According to the statement, the company will continue its normal activities under the management of Anadolu Efes during this period.

According to a report in the RBC newspaper on Tuesday, citing sources, the Russian government's foreign asset sales commission rejected Anadolu Efes' offer to buy AB Inbev's shares in its joint venture with Anheuser-Busch InBev in Russia.

It was announced to the public in April 2022 that active negotiations had begun between Anadolu Efes and AB InBev.

It was subsequently announced that the purchase was subject to approval by the authorities in the relevant countries, and the legal process was initiated on December 19, 2023.
