This Thursday evening, France 3 broadcasts the first three episodes of “Ouija, a deadly summer”. On this occasion, viewers met Frank, a visually impaired teenager.
This Thursday, August 15, France 3 will be broadcasting the first three episodes of Ouija, a Murderous Summer, its new summer saga created by Thomas Bourguignon and Jörg Winger, starting at 8:10 p.m.
The series follows a group of high school students and their German pen pals during the summer of 1982, who, following a séance, will trigger a series of tragic events in the small village where they live. Have they awakened an evil spirit?
The young people will embark on an investigation into the origin of the evil that is affecting their families. At the same time, the gendarmerie is conducting investigations to find a man who has been missing for several days. What if these two stories were linked?
The enigmatic Frank
In the group of teenagers who have come straight from Germany is Franck, an enigmatic young man who has the particularity of being visually impaired. If Vincent, his French correspondent played by Victor Lefebvre, quickly becomes disillusioned when he discovers this handicap, Frank proves to him that he too can enjoy the summer like his new friends.
Over the course of the episodes, the teenagers will discover that the young man has a very special bond with this small village in Provence. A gift that will allow the small group to discover many secrets buried for years.
Is Ruben Meiller visually impaired?
The character of Frank is played by German actor Ruben Meiller. While it is not uncommon for productions to use actors with real disabilities to play this type of character, like This is Us, which hired actor Blake Stadnik to play a blind character, in this case, the actor playing Frank is not visually impaired, if we refer to his previous projects.
Despite this, the young actor, who has worked in many films in his home country, manages to deliver a flawless interpretation of this hypnotic character who manages to turn his disability into a strength.
Watch the first three episodes of Ouija: A Murderous Summer this Thursday, August 15 from 9:10 p.m. on France 3.
