MSCI Türkiye made changes to its index

MSCI, one of the global index providers, announced that 1 new stock was added to Turkey's standard index and 4 new stocks were added to the Small Cap Index while announcing index changes around the world.

MSCI announced the changes in global indices that will be effective as of the close of the session on August 30.

Accordingly, Anadolu Efes was added to the Turkish standard index.

SHARES ADDED TO SMALL CAP INDEX

While Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, Borusan Birleşik Boru, Lydia Holding, Reysaş Real Estate Investment Partnership shares were added to the Small Cap Index, Anadolu Efes Biracılık, Beşiktaş, Katılımevim Savings Finance, ODAS Elektrik Üretim Sanayi Ticaret and Kimteks Poliuretan Sanayi ve Ticaret were removed.

On the other hand, since August 30 is a holiday in Turkey, the changes will be valid for Turkish companies as of the closing of the session on August 29.

Analysts stated that some international funds manage their portfolios in parallel with the MSCI index and that these funds adjust their positions in the equity markets according to index changes.
