Missing Byron man found de-ad in the Cass River
A missing 52-year-old Byron man who was last seen in Frankenmuth has been found de*ad.
Frankenmuth police say the body of Robert Bacon was recovered from the Cass River near Heritage Park in Frankenmuth at around 2 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, the preliminary cause of de*ath appears to be drowning. An autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of de*ath. The investigation into the events surrounding Robert’s de*ath remains under investigation.
Robert was last seen near the Bavarian Inn on Dec. 27. He was reported missing to police on Dec. 30.
No other information has been released.
