





Sad news came from Gökçe Akçelik, the founder and lead singer of Replikas, one of the legends of local experimental rock music.

The beloved name passed away at the age of 47. Akçelik’s cause of death was not disclosed.

Founded in 1993 by Gökçe Akçelik, Barkın Engin and Orçun Baştürk, Replikas grew with the participation of Selçuk Artut in 1998 and Erden Özer Yalçınkaya in January 2000.
The rock band took its current form in 2005 when Yalçınkaya left the band and was replaced by Burak Tamer.

Following Gökçe Akçelik’s death, funeral details were shared on the band’s official Instagram page.
We will be sending off Gökçe tomorrow (12.08.2024) after the noon prayer at Karacaahmet Martyrs’ Mosque.

The band, which is etched in memories with albums such as “Köledoyuran”, “Dadaruhi”, “Avaz”, “Zerre” and “Biz Burada Yok İken”, is at the 43rd Antalya Gold It was awarded the Best Film Music Award at the Orange Film Festival.
