'It didn't quite work': Even this major Game of Thrones figure admits the ending wasn't perfect – News Séries

Recently interviewed by GQ UK, Kit Harington, the famous actor who plays Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones”, spoke about the last season of the series, which was often criticized by fans in 2019.

From 2011 to 2019, during 8 thrilling seasons, the series Game of Thrones (adapted from the work of George RR Martin) thrilled millions of viewers around the world. If this long adventure proved to be trying for the fans (who had to endure many cliffhangers over the episodes), the epic was not easy for its main actors either.

Indeed, while a spin-off series about his character was recently cancelled, British actor Kit Harington, who played the valiant Jon Snow from the beginning to the end of Game of Thrones, recently spoke about the last season of the show.

“We couldn't have gone on any longer.”

A rather hasty conclusion which left a slightly bitter taste in the mouths of many fans, and which the comedian explains by invoking the exhaustion of all the teams at that time:

“I think if there's a flaw in the ending of Game of Thrones, it's that we were all so fucking tired, we couldn't have gone on any longer.”he explained to the microphone of GQ UKbefore admitting that this situation could have led to errors.

“So I understand that some people thought it was a done deal, and I could agree with them. But I'm not sure there was an alternative. I look back at pictures of myself in that last season, and I look exhausted. I look completely washed out.”

“Mistakes were made.”

Kit Harington goes on to clarify that he respects the opinions of fans, and admits that the conclusion of the popular HBO series was not flawless:

“Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I think there were some mistakes made, story-wise, maybe towards the end. I think there were some interesting choices that didn't quite work.”
