Hailey Welch (20) has become an internet sensation with a short but vulgar answer. In a street survey conducted by YouTuber duo Tim & Dee TV, the young woman answered the question of how she would drive a man crazy in bed with total ease.

The rest is history: The clip published on June 11th spread rapidly, the Internet-Memes were popping up everywhere. But what had Hailey actually said?

When asked about her ultimate sex move, she grabbed the interviewer's microphone with one hand without thinking and explained – apparently slightly drunk – in her reference to oral sex: “You have to give them the 'Hawk Tuah' and spit on the thing.” She underlined her answer with a meaningful gesture, while her surprised friend in the picture almost collapsed with laughter.

Just over two weeks after the video, Hailey is the meme queen – and is now making money from her clip. Together with a manufacturer from Tennessee, she is now selling caps with her slogan – an absolute bestseller.

Jason Poteete from the Fathead Threads label, who had the idea for the caps: “We are a small family business. At the moment we have our hands full.” He has already sold more than 2,000 copies of the “Hawk Tuah” hat, and he can hardly keep up with production. He says he has already earned more than 65,000 dollars (around 61,000 euros). Of course, part of the money goes to the creator of the slogan.

After the wave of attention, she has withdrawn for the time being. A week ago, she announced at Facebook: “#hawktuah but I need some rest”.
