What are Instagram Stories?
Instagram-Stories are a quick way to share clips, text and photos with others. The posts remain online for one day and then delete themselves. Whether it's pictures, videos or sharing funny sayings and everyday situations – the story should be quick and memorable.
Using Instagram Stories
Where can you find the story? Open the Instagram app. At the top left you will see “Your Story” and next to it the stories of the people you follow. Click on the little plus on your profile picture or on the plus at the bottom and select “Story”.
Now you have the option to select and upload photos or videos from your gallery. However, you can also record a video or photo yourself. Many different functions can be used for this: Boomerang, Hands-Free, Dual Camera, Layout or Design.
Then it's time to embellish it: pimp up your story with stickers, text or filters. You can tag friends who are in the photo or places where you captured the moment.
Ready? Then just click on the white symbol with the arrow in the bottom right. There you can share the story with everyone or just with your close friends.

Publishing Instagram stories
Once the story has been published, you can click on “Your Story” at any time and view your uploaded content. At the top next to your name you can see how long your story has been online and when it will expire.
If you have added music, you can also read the title underneath. Check your activity at the bottom left: There you can see who has viewed and liked your story.
Other options: Share your story and add a highlight that will be displayed on your account. Of course, you can also delete it or save it for yourself.
More functions
How to make your story a hit: Add videos, polls or pictures! Music and funny GIFs (the small, moving images) can also be part of your snapshot. Other Instagram users can react to your story, like it and share it.
