How did tweeters comment on the Jaffa operation? | policy
The operation carried out by two Palestinians in the center of the city of Jaffa sparked many comments and analyses, most of which welcomed the operation, calling for instilling fear among the Israelis until they turn against their government.
The episode (10/2/2024) of the “Shabakat” program discussed “the activists’ practical interactions carried out by two young Palestinians yesterday in the center of the city of Jaffa, which resulted in the death of 8 people and the wounding of others with varying injuries, according to what the Israeli Ambulance Authority confirmed.
The Israeli occupation forces said that the perpetrators of the attack were: “Muhammad Misk (19 years old), who was martyred at the scene of the accident, and Ahmed Al-Haymouni (25 years old), who was seriously injured and subsequently died.
The two martyrs came from the city of Hebron, and had never been arrested, and Israel said that they belonged to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
Israeli Army Radio explained that the perpetrators of the operation “infiltrated from the Hebron area, were able to reach Jaffa,” seized an M16 weapon from one of the settlers, and carried out the operation with it.
Tweeters on social media welcomed the Jaffa operation, including Abu Miteb Rajeh, who wrote: “After October 7, we are faced with two contradictory scenes: a scene of a people who chose to write their history with their blood, to take away their freedom and dignity, and regain their usurped land, and a scene for others.” They chose to remain silent and watch, and some of them bowed submissively.”
As for Hisham, he said, “These are the operations that defeat the Israelis… The resistance must transfer the war to the occupied territories. As for war, no one will be able to defeat them (the Israelis) as long as America and the West fund them with weapons and information… Fear must be instilled in them until the people turn against the government.” .
Salah al-Din commented, saying: “The Jaffa operation with a pistol led to the killing of 7, and dozens of Iranian missiles did not cause any casualties.”
Ahmed considered that the attack “is not the first and will not be the last. The Zionist entity will never enjoy security and peace while it is on the land of Palestine, and it has no choice but to leave its land, voluntarily or involuntarily.”
It is noteworthy that the Tel Aviv police raided the homes of the perpetrators of the attack in the city of Hebron, searched them, conducted a field investigation with their families, arrested Muhammad Misk’s father and three of his brothers, and conducted an engineering survey of the two homes in preparation for their demolition during the coming period.
It also arrested a number of suspects in the Hebron and Jerusalem area “for their involvement in helping the perpetrators of the Jaffa operation buy weapons and enter Israel.”
