Hezbollah announced today, Tuesday, that it had bombed new sites in northern Israel, while the occupation army confirmed that it had shot down two drones coming from Lebanon.
The party said that its fighters bombed what it described as espionage equipment at the Misgav Am site in the Upper Galilee, and targeted a gathering of occupation soldiers around the Meitat barracks, confirming that direct hits were achieved.
In contrast, the Israeli army announced that its air defenses intercepted two drones that penetrated the airspace coming from Lebanon, stressing that no casualties occurred as a result of their interception.
Earlier today, sirens sounded in a number of Israeli towns near the Lebanese border.
Mutual attacks
Yesterday, Monday, Hezbollah attacked 6 Israeli positions in the Galilee and the occupied Kfar Shuba hills.
The party said that it bombed the newly established headquarters of the 146th Division in Ja'tun in the Western Galilee with Katyusha rockets.
He also said that his fighters targeted the espionage equipment at the Matla site, and bombed the Ruwaysat al-Alam, al-Samaqa and Hanita sites.
At the same time, Israeli fighter jets and drones launched raids on the towns of Marouhin, Kfar Kila, and Burj al-Muluk in southern Lebanon, and the surroundings of the towns of Shebaa, Kfar Shuba, Aita al-Shaab, and Ramya were subjected to artillery shelling.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that 3 people were injured in an Israeli raid on the town of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon.
Mikati: Israeli threats stimulate solidarity
On the other hand, the caretaker Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati, said that the only concern that unites the Lebanese at this stage is confronting the emerging Israeli threats and the ongoing aggression against Lebanon for months.
Mikati considered in a statement issued by his office that the Israeli aggression and threats should constitute an incentive for solidarity among the Lebanese and not to open side debates.
He stressed the need for the international community and international bodies and organizations to do their duty towards Lebanon and support it in these difficult circumstances, especially since it is suffering under very heavy burdens due to the Syrian displacement, according to him.

The Lebanese-Israeli border is witnessing increasing fears of the war on the Gaza Strip spreading and expanding into a regional conflict, in light of Tel Aviv’s readiness for a response from Iran and Hezbollah following the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Ismail Haniyeh, and Tel Aviv’s adoption of the assassination of the prominent Hezbollah leader, Fouad Shukr.
Since October 8, 2023, Lebanese and Palestinian factions in Lebanon – most notably Hezbollah – have been exchanging daily shelling with the Israeli army across the Blue Line, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries, most of them on the Lebanese side.
The factions are linking the cessation of the bombing to Israel ending a war it has been waging with broad American support on the Gaza Strip since October 7, which has left more than 132,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 10,000 missing.
