The southeastern neighborhoods of Gaza City witnessed heavy artillery shelling, coinciding with attempts by the Israeli army to infiltrate, while the resistance announced targeting Israeli soldiers and vehicles, saying that they caused direct casualties.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said that the occupation army targeted the Al-Zana area and the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, with artillery.

He added that the occupation forces blew up a residential block in the town of Abasan al-Jadida in Khan Yunis, as part of a military operation announced by the occupation in the area 4 days ago.

Palestinian medics said Israeli air strikes on areas in Khan Younis on Monday killed at least 16 people and wounded others.

More families and individuals continued to flee threatened areas after Israel issued new evacuation orders.

The Israeli army radio reported that sirens sounded in the Ein Hashlosha settlement, adjacent to the southern Gaza Strip.

She added, “One rocket was detected being launched from Khan Yunis and fell in an open area in the Gaza Strip envelope,” without causing any injuries or damage.

The past few days have witnessed several rocket launches from the Gaza Strip on Israeli towns in the Gaza Strip envelope.
