Foreign residents sold $323.5 million worth of stocks last week.
“Weekly Securities Statistics” were published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
Foreigners' three-week stock sales exceeded $600 million.
Accordingly, persons resident abroad sold net $323.5 million worth of stocks in the week of August 9, while purchasing $17.6 million worth of Government Domestic Debt Securities (DİBS) and $4 million worth of Non-General Government Sector (ÖST) assets.
The stock of persons resident abroad, which was 39 billion 23 million dollars as of August 2, decreased to 36 billion 138 million dollars on August 9.
In the same period, the DİBS stock of persons resident abroad decreased from 13 billion 484.1 million dollars to 13 billion 427.8 million dollars, and the ÖST stock decreased from 432 million dollars to 431.2 million dollars.
