Nice's Nigerian international striker, Terem Moffi, 25, has suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his knee and will be out for several months, sources close to the Côte d'Azur club announced on Tuesday, confirming information from the Nice-Matin daily newspaper. Injured in the knee during the Aiglons' training camp in Austria from July 22 to 27, the Nigerian underwent additional tests on Tuesday which revealed the seriousness of the injury. He is expected to undergo surgery soon and will not return to competition before the end of next winter, in February 2025. Transferred to Nice from Lorient during the winter transfer window in January 2023 for 25 million euros plus five million euros in bonuses, Moffi, who played in the last African Cup of Nations with the Nigerian national team. He scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 52 matches in all competitions with the Aiglons.
