Financial Stability Committee meets

In a written statement from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, it was stated that the Financial Stability Committee convened under the chairmanship of Minister Mehmet Şimşek. The statement noted that the macroeconomic outlook of the world and Turkey was evaluated comprehensively at the meeting.

The statement made by the Ministry included the following statements:

* “The Committee discussed the preparations for the application of inflation accounting in the banking sector, its possible effects on the sector, and the effectiveness of the use of rating notes in the sector. In addition, it was decided to establish a working group within the Committee to assess the effects of climate change on financial stability and to ensure coordination at the national level in the field of sustainable finance. The Committee continues its work with a holistic approach to protect financial stability, which is one of the most important elements of sustainable growth.”
