Decline in Central Bank reserves – Sözcü

The Central Bank (CBRT) announced the weekly money and banking statistics.

The Central Bank's net reserves, which were $47.8 billion the previous week, decreased to $43.7 billion last week.

Net reserves excluding swaps decreased by $4.3 billion from $25.7 billion to $21.4 billion.

In the week of August 23, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 1.64 percent compared to the previous week and reached 150 billion 413 million dollars. The total reserve amount in the previous week was 152 billion 915 million dollars.

The Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by 3.64 percent weekly to $90 billion 715 million. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at $94 billion 146 million on August 16.

During this period, gold reserves increased by 1.58 percent weekly from 58 billion 769 million dollars to 59 billion 698 million dollars.
