Cinema Quiz: 9 images, 9 comedies to recognize! – Cinema News

It's an endearing and well-known face in French homes that we've been seeing at the cinema since Wednesday with the release of “Fêlés” and on this occasion, we're offering you this quiz with nine scenes from Pierre Richard's films to recognize!

Although Pierre Richard undoubtedly had his greatest successes in cinema during the 70s and early 80s (The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe, The Toy, The Goat, The Umbrella Coup), he has not deserted the cinemas in recent years, in parallel with his theatrical activities, with his presence in around forty feature films since the early 2000s.

His latest film, Cracked, released on our screens this Wednesday, tells us the story of the Arc-en-ciel, an associative place in Marmande which welcomes ordinary people but who have been abused by life. Its members support each other in their fight against daily difficulties. And when they are threatened with eviction, a wave of solidarity is organized around Pierre, the founder, to save this unique reception center.

Before you embark on the nine questions of this quiz looking back at the actor's career, here are some filming secrets about the film by Christophe Duthuron.

DID YOU KNOW?

Reunion

The fact that Christophe Duthuron directed Bernard Le Coq in Les Vieux fourneaux 2, alongside Pierre Richard, prompted the filmmaker to entrust him with the role of Pierre's best friend in Fêlés: “On the set of Les Vieux fourneaux 2, a real friendship quickly formed between Bernard, Pierre, and Eddy MitchellThey meet regularly in Paris for feasts..”

“M” of the part

A certain Matthieu Chedid, alias “M”, plays his own role in Fêlés. It was Pierre Richard who advised Christophe Duthuron to contact the famous singer: “Matthieu, touched by Tosquelles' phrase 'To succeed in madness is to find balance in imbalance', accepted, simply asking me to have a scene with Pierre. Enthusiastic about the project, he even offered to shoot additional scenes in Montauban during his concert.

Non-professional actors

Fêlés features a large number of non-professional actors playing themselves in its cast. Pierre Richard recalls: “I was really nervous because I was facing people of astonishing sensitivity. It was not the time to act smart and 'play the actor'. I had to integrate myself as the real director of the establishment, with whom I had exchanged a lot, had done. I admired their spontaneity, their kindness, even their joy.

Cracked is available to discover in theaters.
