After the assassination of its military leader, Hezbollah threatens Israel with a decisive and real response | Politics

Beirut- Hezbollah did not delay in announcing its position on Israel's assassination of its great jihadist leader. Fouad Shukr In the southern suburb of Beirut. Its Secretary-General, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah “Real cold,” but he kept his timing to the field, a clear indication that the goal had been set and the decision had been made.

Hezbollah's position came to match the military escalation in the Middle East region after Iran accused Israel of assassinating the head of the political bureau of Hamas Ismail HaniyehAt his residence in Tehran, coinciding with the war on Gaza entering its 300th day, amidst the continued commission of massacres and crimes without accountability.

Today, Thursday, Hezbollah and the southern suburb of Beirut bid farewell to Shukr, known as “Hajj Mohsen,” who was assassinated by Israel in an airstrike that targeted a building he was in, in the Haret Hreik area last Tuesday evening, resulting in the deaths of 7 martyrs, including two women and two children, and about 80 wounded.

New phase

Israel carried out its threat to respond to the missile attack that targeted a football stadium in the town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights by targeting Fouad Shukr, although Hezbollah denied responsibility for it. The party considered the Israeli raid an aggression that brought the region into a new phase, not just an assassination, according to what its Secretary-General Nasrallah confirmed.

At the funeral of Commander Fouad Shukr, Nasrallah considered, in his speech, The enemy is carrying out the biggest deception operation by accusing the martyr Shukr of being the killer of the children of Majdal Shams. He stressed that Hezbollah had previously denied responsibility for the bombing of Majdal Shams after investigations it conducted, indicating that if the party was really behind it, it would have announced it.

He stressed that the enemy and those behind it must await a thoughtful response that will inevitably come, indicating that the enemy does not know where the response will come from, whether from the north or south of Palestine, and whether it will be scattered or simultaneous.

In contrast, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that “Israel is on very high alert, and we are prepared for any eventuality, and we will stand united and determined in the face of any threat,” and Israel raised its state of alert in anticipation of a response from Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah.

Political analyst Dr. Ali Matar told Al Jazeera Net that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech outlined the features of the next stage in the confrontation with the Israeli enemy, as he explained that the next stage will witness major changes compared to the past.

Fight without restrictions

Political analyst Matar believes that Nasrallah confirmed that support for Gaza will remain constant no matter the sacrifices, and that confrontations on the ground will escalate, with the axis prepared to confront all options if the Israelis choose escalation, as the axis will fight without any restrictions.

Matar stresses that the axis of resistance does not seek to start a comprehensive war, but it has the ability to take all options if the Israelis want to. According to Sayyed Nasrallah’s speech, Matar believes that the priority now is to support Gaza and respond to the Israeli aggression in Lebanon and Iran in a painful and deterrent manner for the enemy.

Matar explains that Nasrallah focused on the enemy's goal of the events in Majdal Shams and the aggression in the southern suburbs, which was to stir up strife between the Lebanese and the Druze in Syria, a first goal that was thwarted. As for the second goal, it was to prevent Netanyahu from dragging Hezbollah, Iran and the axis into a comprehensive confrontation at his own time and in his interest.

Matar added that the response will be strong and balanced, and no matter how much countries and parties intervene to dissuade Hezbollah from responding, that will not work because Israel is the one who started the aggression.

Short and concise

Political analyst Hassan Al-Durr described Nasrallah's speech to Al Jazeera Net as brief in form, but decisive and precise in content. He believes that the speech indicated the inevitability of response and continued confrontation, and that all the aggression's goals of assassinating the martyr Fouad Shukr were not achieved, if Israel considers that by assassinating Shukr it is exerting pressure.

He explains that Nasrallah identified 3 main points in the speech, the first being the attack on the suburb, the second being the targeting of a residential area and the killing of civilians, including children and women, and the third being the assassination of military commander Fouad Shukr.

Al-Durr believes that Nasrallah set a single condition for calm, which is stopping the aggression on Gaza, which means that this is the basic condition to avoid a response or make it calculated. He adds that Nasrallah confirmed that he will not respond immediately, and that the coming days will show what the response will be.
