For OMR founder Philipp Westermeyer, it is not just about the celebrity factor, but also that the invitees bring added value to the visitors in terms of content.

In the medium term, Westermeyer would also like to Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk on the podium in Hamburg. That is not out of the question, assures Westermeyer. “There are always signals that something could happen. But that often requires luck.”

The OMR is considered one of the largest digital trade fairs in Europe. Most recently, more than 70,000 visitors attended the OMR festival.

For many exhibitors, however, this was too much, says Westermeyer. As a result, tickets have now become significantly more expensive. The basic 2-day ticket costs almost 500 euros.
