Tonight on TV: the spirit of the Splendid hovers over this comedy with Daniel Auteuil and Laurent Stocker – Cinema News
Every day, AlloCiné recommends a film to (re)watch on TV. Tonight: a nice adventure comedy with Daniel Auteuil and Laurent Stocker stranded on a desert island.
Jean-Louis Brochard, a financial crook on the run, and William Boulanger, a cuckolded dyer who has just been left by his wife, end up on a desert island after a plane crash. The two castaways, unable to live together, will try to escape this hell, hoping never to see each other again. But the island, not as deserted as it seems, will have a surprise in store for them that will bind them forever.
This pitch is that of the friendly adventure comedy Les Naufragés, above which hovers the offbeat spirit of the Splendid troupe. Released in theaters in 2016, this entertaining and exotic buddy movie, filmed between Paris, Thailand and the island of Tortola, in the Caribbean Sea, owes its success to its two actors: Daniel Auteuil and Laurent Stocker are perfect in the roles of these two men who must manage to live together despite their differences. Guaranteed laughter!
Directed by David Charhon (On the Other Side of the Ring Road), The shipwrecked marks the filmmaker's reunion with Laurent Stocker seven years after Cyprien. “What attracted me, on the one hand, was that I had good memories of my first collaboration with David Charhon For Cyprien“declares the actor and member of the Comédie-Française. “On the other hand, the script made me laugh a lot and it's rare to have in your hands a script that really makes you laugh, to the point of having fits of laughter. And the presence of Daniel Auteuilobviously, it's great.”
A prestigious director of photography to film these funny “Castaways”
It should be noted that the photography of the Shipwrecked is signed by a big name in the person of Thierry Arbogast, Luc Besson's favorite cinematographer to whom we owe the images of Nikita, Léon, The Fifth Element and Lucy. A big name who won three Césars for his work on The Horseman on the Roof, The fifth Element and good travel.
We start this week with a very entertaining comedy, ideal for filling up on good humor? So, it's in front of TFX that we settle down!
Tonight on TFX at 8:45 p.m.
