Famous worldwide for playing Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” saga, Tom Felton began his career in 1997 in “The Little World of Borrowers”.
Viewers around the world (and especially Harry Potter fans) have known his face since the day he crossed paths with the little wizard with glasses, when the latter entered Hogwarts in the first opus of the magical saga, in 2001.
Aged 13 when he first played Draco Malfoy (Harry's eternal rival), British actor Tom Felton continued to wear the robes of the young wizard for a whole decade, and right up until the last opus of the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, released in 2011.
Best known for this role (which is undoubtedly the most significant of his career), he has also been seen in other major projects since the franchise ended: for example in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, in the epic The Resurrection of Christ, and in the thriller Message from the King.

But let's take a little trip down memory lane to find out which film Tom Felton really started his acting career with: because no, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is not his first feature film!
In fact, in 1997, when he was only ten years old and had already appeared in a few commercials, he was seen in the cast of the fantasy film The Little World of Borrowers (adapted from the same story as the animated feature film Arietty the Little World of Borrowers from Studios Ghibli).
In this film directed by Peter Hewitt, Felton played the young son of the Clock family, composed of small men who were about six inches tall and lived secretly within the walls of a human house. Amusingly, his father was played by Jim Broadbent, who would later play Professor Slughorn in the sixth installment of the magical saga.
Just a year after this first film, young Tom Felton would attempt to get the role of Harry Potter, but would ultimately be chosen to play his enemy, nevertheless joining one of the most popular franchises in cinema.
