16 martyrs in raids on Gaza and 174 journalists killed since the start of the war news

16 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured on Sunday evening and early Monday, as a result of separate Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, while the death toll of journalist martyrs in the Strip rose to 174 since the start of the war.

A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that a mother, her husband, and her two children were martyred, and a number of injuries occurred, as a result of Israeli fighters bombing a house for the Al-Adini family in the Al-Baraka area in the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Three Palestinians were also killed and others were injured in a bombing carried out by an Israeli drone on a civilian vehicle northwest of the city of Khan Yunis, according to Palestinian medics.

A Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted the Al-Mawasi area, which shelters displaced people in the west of the city of Rafah, according to medical sources.

In the northern Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was martyred and others were injured as a result of an Israeli warplane bombing Abu Jaafar School in the Sultan neighborhood in the town of Beit Lahia.

A local source said that citizens were able to recover 3 martyrs and two wounded as a result of targeting a group of citizens in the vicinity of Gaza Municipal Park in the center of the city, last night.

Artillery bombardment

The Israeli army intensified its violent artillery shelling on the neighborhoods of Tal al-Hawa, al-Sabra, and al-Zaytoun, south of Gaza City, while its vehicles fired heavy machine gun fire in the vicinity of the University College and Street 8 to the south.

Army vehicles fired artillery shells north of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy gunfire.

Israeli artillery also fired lighting bombs east of Al-Maghazi camp, coinciding with heavy fire from military vehicles west of Al-Nuseirat camp.

Violent explosions were heard in the north of the Central Governorate, resulting from the Israeli occupation army blowing up residential buildings and squares emptied of residents.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli gunboats fired their shells towards the shores of the Khan Yunis Sea, while they fired towards Ezbet Al-Bahr, west of Rafah.

Targeting journalists

On the other hand, the Gaza government announced that the death toll among journalists in the Strip had risen to 174 as a result of the ongoing Israeli war since October 7, 2023, after the martyrdom of journalist Wafaa Al-Adini.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip condemned – in a statement – the Israeli occupation’s targeting, killing and assassination of Palestinian journalists, and held it fully responsible for committing this crime.

He called on the international community and international organizations related to journalistic work in the world to deter the occupation and prosecute it in international courts for its continuing crimes.

With American support, since October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left more than 137,000 Palestinians martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.

In disdain for the international community, Israel continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
